FINDING ONE OF THE RAREST HUMMINGBIRDS IN THE WORLD

I was thrilled to see this rare hummingbird. The Blue-throated Hillstar was first discovered in 2017 and is restricted to a remote area of southern Ecuador. Only 500 these birds are thought to exist, making it one of the rarest hummingbirds in the world. Come with me to 12,000 feet where the air is rare and enjoy our adventure to find this rare bird.
