Fossils are the hardened remains or traces of an animal or plant of a former age. In Florida, animal fossil predominate. We include both vertebrate and invertebrate fossils in our programs, activities, and personal collections. Our Membership comes from many counties in Florida, other states, Canada and Europe, and includes several professional paleontologists, geologists, and Museum Curators. Our Purpose is to promote Education in the Field of Science and to provide a family oriented atmosphere in which to share a common interest in Science.
