Transcript:
Hi Jim Ross, cinematographer with Cinematix here with an episode of “Grip Truck Extras” - a series of quick tips about items you should have in your production kit whether you have 5 ton grip trucks like me or you are working out of your car.  Today – WD 40

I keep several cans of this magic lubricant on my truck. It has so many uses. Hey, a set is filled with moving parts. Moving parts get stuck, rub, squeak, lock up, etc. WD40 remedies these things. I've used it to free stuck bolts, free up stands that don't want to operate correctly, stopped the squeak in a camera crane, silenced squeaky doors on set, it's even good at removing rust and corrosion. So keep a can (or two) in your kit. You can even get little cans that won't take up space and fit in your camera bag or tool kit.

Remember – the better prepared you are on location to solve problems the more valuable you are. When you get the reputation of always having solutions and necessary gear people remember you and hire you again. That's it for this episode of Grip Truck Extras, see you on set!
