The bond market will break—TLT ETF will sell off and TBT ETF will rally. There are several financial forces that are pushing the bond market to include Japan, their own deficits, and an economy that is showing more and more inflation. Because of this, Japanese Government Bond yields are rising. Adding to this, the Bank of Japan is slashing their purchases of JGBs. This means new price discovery for bond rates.

If you factor in the above, then show that the Federal Reserve is lowering its own bond holdings while also the Republican Party is pushing through a budget that is heavy on the deficit. These factors will force the bond market to sell off. From this, I remain in my USDJPY short position, I am long TBT ETF, and have not gotten back into my TLT ETF long position.

The tariffs will go away. The Republican Party is pushing through an agenda that will add significantly to the US deficit. That excess supply will weigh heavily on the bond market, and at a point very soon, the bond market will break. This will mean TBT ETF will shoot higher, while TLT ETF will fall significantly.
