Siglent SDS1104X-E Review

This is my review of the oscilloscope I use the Siglent SDS1104X-E.

I initially purchased another very popular scope from a Siglent rival, and regretted it fairly quickly. Upgrading to the SDS1104X-E was the best thing I did for my workbench. It's much faster, and more accurate than what I was using. Troubleshooting and building new amps is much easier now.

I love the features the scope has, and find many of them to be must haves. For example, testing capacitors to find the foil layer for shielding, some caps were too sensitive for me to see the difference on the screen. Having the measure feature the RMS or PtP reading made it simple.

The built in web console is also awesome. It's fast, and you can make it full screen, and export data directly onto your Mac or PC. The web console works much faster than any of the other remote apps or web interfaces I've tried...and there's some videos on youtube showing the speed difference compared to the Rigols. It's significant.

This is a great scope, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. It's absolutely worth the money compared to anything even close on the market.
