Vintage Singer 201k Sewing Machine sews 2x10 oz leather

This video shows a test sewing with a tex 135 thread on 2x10 oz leather.

This may be over the limit for this modified Singer 201k. The feed dogs leave marks on the leather. With some of my other trials here, the high friction between the leather and the needle could lift the presser foot (with max pressure here) causing skipt stitches.
