The Assyrian language is a Neo-Aramaic Semitic language spoken by Assyrian people (Syriac Christians) who are indigenous to the Middle East. The native homeland of the Assyrian people consists of parts of present-day Iraq, Iran, Syrian and Turkey. Some Assyrians also identify themselves as Aramean or Chaldean, and the language consist of various dialects, using different scripts. The words in this video are written in the Estrangelo script. The Persian language (Farsi) is classified as one of the Western Iranian languages. Persian has had a huge impact on many other languages and cultures, mainly in the Middle East, Central Asia and South Asia and holds official status is Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan.
