Hello imaginary person, my name is Kate and I love music. Im a 16 year old high school student who is an aspiring musician. This is one of my original songs and it’s about what we take for granted as kids and wish for as adults. I wrote it at 15 ( being a bigger kid ) but I felt and still feel the same way about growing up and exploring life’s possibilities good and bad as I trek into adulthood. I hope whoever is listening relates to my poetry it and it helps them in some way. I’ll attach lyrics below if you feel like reading that. I’ve been walking a long long road

Gotta remember I’m only 15 years old

But I’m starting to feel like time is passing by too fast


And I feel the earth crumbling

Beneath my feet

As I try work through my problems and keep up with the heat

The days start to feel faster

And my shoulder begins to get colder

And my life begins to get harder

As I grow up

As I get older

And realize my life is getting shorter


People say it’s better that way

But they’re grown, with lots of bills to pay

I don’t wanna live that life everyday

So I wish that I could stay

I wish I could stay


When you’re a kid you underestimate

How hard life really is

You undervalue everything that’s on your plate

But when you’re finally grown

You’ll know what it’s like to own your own home

You’ll know what it’s like to get married

And say shit I’m trapped and I feel buried

And yeah this time you can’t call mom you can’t escape


I wanna stay a kid

Forget whatever I said before

I’ve said some stupid things

I regret never the more


Let me be a kiddddd

And forget all the bad things I ever did
