Malayalam superstar Prithviraj speaks about Unni Mukundan's new Superstardom. The much-anticipated Malayalam action thriller Marco which was released on December 20, 2024, just in time for the Christmas weekend. Directed by Haneef Adeni and produced by Shareef Muhammed, the film stars Unni Mukundan in the titular role, leading a powerful ensemble cast that includes Jagadish, Siddique, Anson Paul, Yukti Thareja, Riyaz Khan, Jinu Joseph, Sreejith Ravi, and Kabir Duhan Singh.
A spin-off of the 2019 movie Mikhael, Marco promises to deliver an intense cinematics experience, with Ravi Basrur composing the music, while cinematography and editing are handled by Chandru Selvaraj and Shameer Muhammed, respectively. Alongside its Malayalam release, Marco is also available in dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, broadening its reach to audiences across India.
Marco is the younger son of the infamous Adattu family, known for their involvement in gold smuggling in Kerala. When a sudden and shocking event disrupts the family, Marco embarks on a violent journey to uncover the truth behind it.
The cast of Marco features a stellar ensemble of actors, with Unni Mukundan playing the lead role of Marco Peter. The film also stars Siddique as George Peter, Jagadish as Tony Isaac, and Anson Paul in a key role. Other notable performances include Yukti Thareja, Kabir Duhan Singh, Rahul Dev, and Jayaprakash as William Davis. The movie also features Sudev Nair, Shaji Chen, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Vinayakan, Riyaz Khan, and Sreejith Ravi, among others. Special appearances include Nivin Pauly as Dr. Mikhael John.
