In this Cisco Packet Tracer lab, we’ll learn how to configure SSH remote access on a Cisco Router.
SSH (Secure Shell) provides encrypted communication between the user and the router — making it a secure alternative to Telnet.

We’ll go step-by-step through assigning IP addresses, configuring the router hostname and domain name, creating admin and user accounts, generating RSA keys, and enabling SSH access.
Finally, we’ll test remote access using SSH from a PC for both admin and normal users.

🔧 Lab Setup:
Router Gi0/0 → Switch Fa0/2 → PC (Fa0/1)
Router Gi0/0: 192.168.10.1/24
PC: 192.168.10.10/24 (Gateway: 192.168.10.1)

🧾 Lab Steps:
Assign IP address to PC
Configure Router hostname, banner, and interface Gi0/0
Test connectivity with PC
Create two users – admin (privilege 15) and user1 (normal user)
Set enable secret and domain name
Generate RSA key for SSH and set version 2
Configure SSH access under line vty
Verify running configuration and save
SSH login from PC as admin
SSH login from PC as user1
