New Delhi. The central government has approved the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme of Rs 1 lakh crore to bring employment in the private sector of the country. Under this scheme, the target is to provide employment to more than 3.5 crore youth in two years. The cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the green signal to this scheme to increase employment generation and social security in all major sectors with special emphasis on the manufacturing sector.

When youth go for a job, those with experience get preference. In such a situation, it has been decided to give subsidy equal to one month's salary to first timers (freshers).
