Situated about 18 miles north of Yuma, in far southwestern Arizona, the Mittry Lake Wildlife Area includes about 600 acres of surface water and 2,400 acres of marshes. A wide variety of birds and other wildlife species can be found here, especially during the cooler winter months. Free primitive camping is permitted for up to 10 days per calendar year.
