On 29th May 2022, Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna was consecrated and enthroned as the 6th Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi. After that, he had courtesy visits to different dioceses of the church of Uganda, accompanying the Archbishop the most Rev Dr Stephen Kazimba Mugalu. On 4th June 2022, Rt Rev Gaddie Akanjuna attended a fundraising Function of Nyaruhanga High School in Rubanda District aiming at raising funds to purchase a school bus which was first occasion as the main celebrant.
