Miami Aviation History Through the Years: 1920s - 1980s.

This video is an assortment of aviation footage in South Florida from the 1920s through the 1980s. It includes footage of early aviation from Miami to the Florida Keys on Chalk Airlines. It also includes Autogyro video filmed in Bayfront Park in 1929.

The video includes the Merle L. Fogg airport dedication of Fort Lauderdale International Airport in 1929. There is early footage of Miami International Airport from the 1950s. Lastly, there are news reports about drug smuggling through the air in 1984.

The video includes a lot of great aerial footage of Miami from the 1920s through the 1950s. Miami has a very early history with aviation and it is great that aerial footage of the area was filmed and still available today.
