The Election Commission of India (ECI) has officially directed a Special Revision (SR) of the Electoral Roll for Assam, with 01 January 2026 as the qualifying date.
This process is different from the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in other states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Puducherry.

📌 Important Update for Assam:
✔️ No Enumeration Forms required
✔️ No document submission by electors
✔️ BLOs will conduct house-to-house (H2H) verification
✔️ Draft Roll will be published on 27 December 2025
✔️ Claims & Objections from 27 Dec 2025 to 22 Jan 2026
✔️ Final Electoral Roll Release on 10 February 2026
