In 1909, W.A.Kracke arrived in Omeo, not only with his family, but with a camera. These are the only remaining glass negative images, a record of the town and it's people, in the early 1900's.
Omeo, Victoria, Australia. An historic Gippsland gold mining town on the Great Alpine Road, nestled high in the Australian Alps.
Once one of the wildest goldfields in Australia.
