Setting the correct water hardness for your area is essential to ensure optimum performance and longevity of your coffee machine. The setting will determine how frequently the machine requires descaling, to keep it working at its best.

If you are unsure of the water hardness in your area, use the test strip supplied. Choose from soft, medium, hard or very hard.
