Faber-castell polychromos pencils come in 119 brilliant, jewel like colours; and 1 transparent, hard and seemingly useless white pencil.

In this tutorial video, I show you how I use this pencil to protect my paper from staining by other colours. This allows me to have bright highlights or white hairs, even on the darkest backgrounds.

Far from being a useless, it is the first pencil I use for every colour pencil piece I create.
