Colin Martorana is a Project Manager for the San Mateo County Flood & Sea Level Rise Resiliency District (OneShoreline). He began his career back in his hometown of Santa Barbara, after completing his degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of California San Diego. He worked with the City’s Water and Wastewater Engineering Department, managing regional wastewater system upgrades and maintenance projects, as well as supporting the opening of the City’s desalination plant.

In 2018, Colin joined the County of San Mateo, as a member of the County’s Flood Resilience Program, a pilot effort that was absorbed by OneShoreline in its formation. Now at OneShoreline, he has managed the permitting, construction, and operation of the District's first major construction project, an underground diversion structure that diverts stormwater from an undersized canal and empties into the Ravenswood Pond Complex. He directs the flood management operations of the Colma Creek watershed, overseeing several projects and maintenance activities. He also leads the expansion and upgrade of the region's flood monitoring and early warning system.
