A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot in the head near a Manhattan high school Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The boy was also shot in the leg outside 233 Spring St. near Varick Street at around 2:30 p.m., according to the NYPD. The teen was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.
