Stone Fireplace Samsung Frame TV Installation

Описание к видео Stone Fireplace Samsung Frame TV Installation

The homeowner had an existing TV on the wall in the corner on a motion mount and a cabinet down below with all of the components inside of it and requested it be mounted on the fireplace. This installation was complicated by the fact that the stone fireplace was completely finished with no power, no low voltage wiring and no conduit. It wasn't possible to do that without a significant amount of effort, which can be done.

The solution that Digital Horizons came up with was largely based on the fact that the stones on the fireplace were deeper stacked stones and they had a deeper groove. We felt it would be a good fit for the Samsung Frame TV because this television's works power and AV connections don't go directly to the TV as you would normally see.

Samsung has an external one connect box where you plug in your power and your AV connections. And the reason that works well in this case is there's a proprietary one connect cable that goes between the one connect box and the television that carries all of the audio video signals plugged into the box as well as the power that gets sent up to the television.

We were able to mount the television to the stone, which it's a very difficult stone to attach to. You have a lot of obviously undulating heights and we have no idea what sort of support structures in the wall and what the framing looks like behind it.

The other challenge to this install is that the Samsung Frame TVs don't use a typical mount. They have a mount that is two separate smaller plates. Then, we carefully routed the one connect cable in the best channels possible.

And the end result is that it's virtually impossible to see the cable. We routed it in the grout lines of the stone and then the one connect box got placed off to the right-hand side of the fireplace within the cabinet where the components were and literally got the best of both worlds.
