The range is simply calculated by subtracting the minimum number from the maximum number. To calculate it in excel, you can use the “MAX” and “MIN” functions. All you need to do is call the max function, select your whole data, put the minus sign, call the MIN function, select your data, and hit enter. The result is your range. If you want to apply some criteria, you can use the “#MAXIF” and “#MINIF” functions.
