Schumacher CAT XLS which won the IFMAR Off-Road World Championship in England in 1987.
The CAT XLS MASAMI REPLICA was released as a replica after about 30 years.
After a assembling period of about half a year, we finally reached the point where we could drive on the long-awaited circuit, and it is located in Midori City, Gunma Prefecture in Japan.
I drove a CAT at "Midori Circuit" for the first time in about 30 years.
The sound emitted from the CAT, the feeling of acceleration, the steering characteristics, etc. still remain firmly in my mind.
It was a very valuable day for me to look back on my very nostalgic memories.
At the Off-Road World Championships that I participated in for the first time at the age of 17, Schumacher who recognized my skills in the practice run the day before qualifying, they provided me with one of the only five special worlds edition cars.
At that time, I was almost an unknown driver.
Thanks to that, I was able to become the first Japanese World Champion.

We Masaaki & myself have produced a total of 15 CAT videos including released on "MASAAKI RC CHANNEL", and this is the last video.
I made it with all my soul including thanks to Schumacher.

　1987年にイギリスで開催された『IFMARオフロード世界選手権』で優勝したシュマッカーCAT XLSが、約30年の時を経てレプリカとして発売されました。
約半年の製作期間の後、待望のサーキット走行が出来るところまでたどり着き、群馬県みどり市にある『みどりサーキット』にて、約30年ぶりにCATを走らせました。
CATから放たれるサウンドや加速感、ステアリング特性などが今でも脳裏にしっかりと残っており、とても懐かしい思い出を振り返ることが出来た大変貴重な一日となりました。

　17歳の時に初参加した、オフロード世界選手権において、予選前日の私の走りを見て、ほとんど無名でプライベーターに近い私に対し、5台しか用意されていなかったスペシャル マシンを提供してくれたのが現地イギリスのシュマッカー社でした。
そのお陰で、私は日本人初の世界チャンピオンになることが出来ました。

　CATの動画は『MASAAKI RC CHANNEL』で公開したものを含めて、全部で15本製作し今回が最後の動画となります。
シュマッカー社へのお礼を含め、車も動画も、精魂込めて作りました。
