I am a “fiduciary financial advisor”.

U.S. law and standards of professional conduct require fiduciaries to exercise a high standard of care, loyalty, and honesty in providing services to their clients.

A fiduciary is required to prioritize the interests of the beneficiary over their own.

This means that out of the various investment options available for a clients needs; a fiduciary must choose the option that is the best for the client.

Fiduciary duty is a serious obligation and I think it can be an important designation to look for in a financial advisor.
