On The Jehrico Road - Blackwood Brothers (1947)

Hello Y'all! Here is the classic "On the Jehrico Road" sung by the Blackwood Brothers. According to Praguefrank's exhaustive discography on the Blackwood Brothers (which can be found on his country discography blog), this session took place sometime in 1946 or 1947. As I've explained in some other Blackwood Brothers songs I've uploaded, there is a myriad of different labels and variations of these early records. There is even a red Blackwood Brothers personal label that seems to use separate takes, which often will feature small differences in the vocals/piano parts.

For those interested, you can find the red label version for this song at Archive.org. Several contributors have taken on a massive undertaking of digitizing hundreds of thousands of early records and uploading them there as part of The Great 78 Project.
