This truth leads us to the Eucharist. In the Orthodox Church, the Eucharist is not symbolic; it truly becomes the Body and Blood of Christ. Just as Christ’s touch raised the dead, His Body and Blood heal, sanctify, and give life to those who receive them with faith.

The Eucharist heals both soul and body; not magically, but as part of our journey toward theosis, our restoration to the image of God. Therefore, we approach Holy Communion with reverence, humility, and faith, knowing that only Christ can heal and sanctify what is fallen within us.

Christ gives Himself so that we may become like Him.
