Soap Ingredients:

Water, Stearic Acid, Beef Tallow, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Goat Milk, Pig Lard (Manteca), Castor Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Avocado Oil, Lanolin, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, and Vitamin E.

Scent Notes:

Ozone, jasmine leather, patchouli, sandalwood, and tonka bean give this a masculine body. And musk, amber, and powder give it a light finish.

Writeup:

Hub City Soap Co. is the new kid on the block and the brainchild of an active member of our community - David Lopez-Cepero. As soon as I heard David was giving this a go, I was curious to see what he could do in this already crowded space.

Aegyptus is the scent I decided to buy and to me, it smells like a slightly sweeter version of Victor Rolf's 'Spicebomb'. This scent is an allrounder as far as I'm concerned - Date night, work or casual use, it'll work. It's pretty strong off of the tub, maybe a 6 or a 7 out of 10 and remains that way once lathered.

Hub City's 'Raider' base is one hell of a way to kick things off. The performance reminds me very much of the Original A&E base (Asian Plum, Spartacus etc.) It can take a heap of water and it really wants it. The density is above average and both the primary and residual slickness is excellent. I tested the post-shave on my first use and that was also very good. What a way to start David, my hat is off to you.
