This video allows students to carry out an experiment on the density of regular and irregular objects from home. This is a required practical for students to be able to understand and carry out for GCSE Physics.

Measuring the mass of an object can be calculated using a mass balance. Measuring the volume of a regular object can be done by taking measurements and calculating the volume. Measuring the volume of an irregular object can be done by measuring the amount of water the object displaces. Measuring the volume of a liquid can be done using a measuring cylinder. Then using density = mass / volume will give the density.
