If you have been living in the UK lawfully and continuously for ten years, you may qualify to apply for indefinite leave to remain (ILR) based on long residence. The information in this video update will give you some practical tips when preparing for an extended residence ILR application.
So what are the conditions for a 10-year Long Residence ILR?
• You must have been residing in the UK for at least 10 years constantly and lawfully.
• Your 10-year period of lawfully residing is intact.
• Granting you indefinite leave to remain does not harm the public interest.
• You fulfil the requirements for the English language and Life in the UK test.
• You must not come under the general grounds for refusal.
