An update about the State of Shield of Sisters!

Join our founder Shannon Hough as she welcomes Lisa Carrington-Firmin (Colonel, US Air Force, retired) - Latina, combat vet, Bronze Star recipient, award-winning author, and poet. Firmin provides writing, consulting, and speaking services in Leadership, Veterans, Transitions, Military Sexual Trauma (MST), and Diversity & Inclusion. After she retired as the most senior ranking Latina in the U.S. Air Force in 2010, she went on to found the Veteran and Military Affairs department and the UTSA Top Scholar program at The University of Texas at San Antonio.

Firmin will be joining us at our Inaugural National Conference, "Journey to Restoration: From Surviving to Thriving after Military Sexual Trauma" in Madison, WI January 31-February 3, 2025.
