BJP local leader found dead in West Bengal; Ruling TMC under suspect

A local BJP leader was found dead in the Midnapore district of West Bengal. The incident took place days after the death of another BJP leader, who too died under mysterious circumstances.

The leader left his house around 2 in the afternoon and his body was later discovered hanging from a tree near his house. BJP alleges that the Trinamool Congress Party is behind this act. The family has not filed a complaint and the body has been sent for post mortem.

Purna Chandra Das was allegedly pressurized by TMC to leave BJP and join the ruling Trinamool Congress Party, claims the family.
