Auxiliary drive belt (fan belt) replacement on Freelander 2/LR2

Описание к видео Auxiliary drive belt (fan belt) replacement on Freelander 2/LR2

Fitting a new auxiliary drive belt, or "fan belt" as some people call it, and new tensioner pulley on a 2009 Land Rover Freelander 2 XS.

This is the belt on the side of the engine which is visible, not the cam/timing belt which is hidden.

This belt drives the air con, power steering, and alternator. If this belt fails then you can still drive the car for a short distance on the remaining battery charge, but the steering will be VERY heavy. If your steering has suddenly got heavy and the battery charge warning light has come on a short time later, then this belt has probably failed and will need replacing. I recommend changing the tensioner pulley at the same time as it makes fitment much much easier. The tensioner is ~£50 from Euro Car Parts.

Centre bolt is 25Nm, T50 torx bit
