Here’s what Elias wrote in his video submission.

Your future performance concept:

"At the start of the act, the clubs will gradually light up to a dim blue before the music starts. For the first slow section, the clubs will light up brighter in a wave pattern on the music cues as I do each skill, and go dim in between, adding to the rhythm of the skills. At the end of this section, the clubs will gradually increase in brightness, and then flash to warm colours on the music change as I am doing the 2 beat weave through two in one hand. From this point until the end of the song, the clubs will pulse brightly to match the urgency of the music.

At the end of the song, as I forwards roll to collect the clubs, they will do one final bright flash and then change to the blue colour from the start of the act on the music change, and then gradually flicker out with the music.

Having glow clubs will help to emphasise the different sections of the act, and will add to the rhythm of the act. It will help emphasise the concept of this act (alongside the music), which is dealing with internal conflict, as the changing lighting fits with the changing feeling throughout the act, from slow to frantic and then back to slow right at the end."

Other notes on future performance ideas

I intend to wear all black for this act, as in the video. This video starts halfway through my song, and I have already created the act up to this point, but I need further practice to get the first section clean enough to perform, as many of the tricks are too challenging for me to get consistently. However, I believe I will be able to work on getting the other half stage-ready in the future.
