Continuing the last video, here is part 2 of 2 for the machine knitting a reversible cable edge scarf on an LK150 knitting machine: Matching the beginning of the scarf, finishing the ribbing, and using the sewing bind off.

This pattern can be modified for hand knitting, or connect both ends to make an infinity scarf.

Basic Pattern (continue from Part 1)

After the last cable crossing, time to finishing up.

Knit 8 rows, and reform the edge stitches into 1 x 1 ribbing. (No cable crossing this time)

Knit 8 rows.

Select the stitches to be reformed (same as the beginning of the scarf).

Reform these stitches by dropping off stitches and latching up.

Bind off stitches (any bind off method, I use Sewing bind off in the video)

To do a sewing bind off, cut the yarn leaving 3-4 times the length of the "scarf width". Thread through a big-eyed tapestry needle. Start by threading through the first stitch, then 2 stitches forward (3rd stitch) threading from the back to the front, and 1 stitch back (2nd stitch) threading front to back. Repeating until the end, and thread through the last needle to secure the yarn.

Take the scarf off the machine, lightly steam or block to make stitches even. Done.
