So he asked Elisha, 'Oh, my master, what are we to do?' Elisha said, 'Don't be afraid, for those who are with us outnumber those who are with them.'"

Key Points:

Elisha's Faith and Divine Protection
When Elisha's servant saw the enemy army surrounding them, fear gripped his heart
Elisha prayed for God to open his servant's spiritual eyes
God revealed His army of horses and chariots of fire protecting them
Those who are with us always outnumber those against us when we align with God

Jesus' Authority Over the Enemy
Jesus delivered His message through parables, direct commands, and demonstrations of His authority
He claimed and demonstrated authority to forgive sins, to judge, and gave His followers authority over the enemy
All of His claims are tied to His identity as the one and only Son of God

Disarmed Powers and True Freedom
Through the cross, Jesus disarmed spiritual powers and authorities, making a public spectacle of them (Colossians 2:15)
"If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:31-32)
True freedom comes from knowing and living God's truth, not just thinking about it

Living the Truth in Action
Truth must be believed and demonstrated in the way we live our lives
Truth must be evident in the way we use our words and in our actions toward others
We are called to be "walking Bibles" through our obedience to what Jesus taught

Spiritual Victory in Christ
"The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world" (1 John 4:4)
Jesus has emptied Satan's power—we are free to live for God
Satan still has power, but he no longer possesses final authority in history
Hold your head up—you have a God who is still blessing you, looking out for you, and concerned about your wellbeing

Opening Our Spiritual Eyes
Sometimes we need to ask the Lord to open our spiritual eyes to see God at work
Remember when God provided a wall of protection in your life
Don't become fearful—remind yourself that your enemies are outnumbered
