Got to play a couple of times here - at the legendary NYC venue, The Bitter End - back when they used to have a weekly Saturday afternoon ‘Open Mic’. It was a really cool OM. But, sadly, it ceased sometime around 2002, I think .

This performance is from back in 2018. I tried to do a bit of a different ‘take’ on the 90s ‘indie rock’ classic by The SPs.

Lady Gaga played on that exact piano 😎…way back when she was just a struggling (but working, at least!) artist on the NYC circuit…before exploding into the stratosphere. Talent like LG is VERY VERY rare. IMhO.

*oh and I should definitely give a tip of the hat and say thanks to my older brother who really gave me that little ‘push’ that I sort of needed at the time to have (or at least feign) the ‘confidence’ to give this rendition a shot at an OM…it was one of my first times performing in front of an ‘audience’, so to speak…and the encouragement was very cool to get…also very well needed!! ✌🏻
