Cleveland area weather forecast: Rain is finally coming to Northeast Ohio

Your 5 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for September 19, 2024:

As we are transitioning to a new season big changes will also be seen from the skies. The most notable change will be in the form of rainfall finally arriving Friday.

The Climate Prediction Center has most of the Buckeye State (excluding Lake County) experiencing some degree of drought.

The first wave of relief will be arriving late Friday into Saturday. Clouds will increase through the day. Dry conditions will hold through the workday. Showers and heavy downpours will expand from west-to-east after sunset Friday.
