Here are some of my thoughts about the Mare's Leg after getting 500 kills with it.

As it stands, the Mare's Leg is the best sidearm for shooting opponents in the head in close quarters. It has the highest muzzle velocity, and it's more accurate than the .44 magnum while you're moving. In addition to this, the ability to equip optics like the Coyote and ACOG give you a huge advantage in landing headshots over other sidearms. It's just A LOT less forgiving if you miss.

This thing needs a buff. It either needs to be more accurate or more powerful at range. I don't think buffing the rate of fire is a good idea.

Its accuracy is only .2, like an assault rifle, and you can't put a heavy barrel on it to make it better. After 30 or 40 meters, the inaccuracy becomes an issue when you're trying to land headshots. It has the same standing still accuracy as the .44 magnum, but at least you can put a heavy barrel on the magnum.

You can only get a one shot kill to the head within 29 meters.

At 24 meters or closer, you can kill a guy with two body shots. After that, it's going to take 3 shots.

Like the Shorty, you can't use this thing in the water.

-The rate of fire is very slow, and that's what makes it fun. It truly is a skill cannon.

The .44 magnum is more reliable in most situations, especially if you have the 3x scope for it.

The Mare's Leg is a viable secondary weapon for getting long range kills and headshotting people that have good cover. However, only use it with primary weapons that won't require you to use the Mare's Leg in close quarters very often, like machine guns, CBJ-MS, shotguns, ACW-R, etc.. For anything with a slow reload time and small magazine, you're going to need to something more reliable in close quarters.

The Coyote is my favorite optic for this. It makes tracking targets and landing headshots easier. The magnified optics are too bulky and slow, and on top of that, the Mare's Leg isn't accurate or powerful enough to take full advantage of the higher optics anyway.

The 40x scope is obviously bad. If they're far enough away that you can actually tell WTF you're looking at, they're too far away to die in one shot. If, against all odds, you shoot them in the head once, they're just going to run away and you'll never see them again.

As of now, only 16 people have more Mare's Leg kills than me on Xbox One.
My accuracy with the Mare's Leg is 36.19%.
40% of my kills with the Mare's Leg were headshots.
