Most NOTORIOUS TRAIL in BIG BEND | Backpacking the Marufo Vega Trail- Big Bend National Park

On November 2, 2018 we set out to complete the Marufo Vega Trail in Big Bend National Park. This is a strenuous 14 mile loop that reaches some of the most remote sections of Boquillas Canyon. This is the best place to view the beautiful Sierra del Carmen Mountains in Mexico.

While the Marufo Vega Trail is beautiful it is also notorious for being one of the most dangerous trails in the Southwest. Due to the heat, lack of shade, and difficulty of staying on the trail, this trail has taken many lives and needs to be taken cautiously.

NOTE: It is now illegal to cache water without an approved beorproof container! We didn't know this at the time. If we would have known I would have done it the correct way. Thanks for watching!
