Note that the bird must be sexually mature in order to vent sex. Your best bet is waiting until they are 8-10 weeks old, but it can sometimes be performed as early as 6 weeks. Lighting also plays a roll. If your birds are not getting at least 14 hours of light, they may not be laying eggs or producing foam.
