The Story of the Black Angels: A Chat with Virginia Allen and Maria Smilios

In honor of both World Tuberculosis Day and Women's History Month, the American College of Chest Physicians hosted a virtual fireside chat with Maria Smilios, author of The Black Angels: The Untold Story of the Nurses Who Helped Cure Tuberculosis, and Virginia Allen, one of the last surviving "Black Angels." This virtual event took place on Tuesday, March 26, and was moderated by Women in Chest Medicine Steering Committee member, Danielle McCamey, DNP, APRN, FCCP.
