Yes, I am a Strat addict. I admit it. After stupidly selling my favorite Strat some years back, I try every Strat I can get my hands on. Maybe this will be interesting if you suffer the same obsessive symptoms... Audio starts at 2:30

We're looking at four "Working Man's Strats" all somewhere around 500 bucks, a preice range that will get you a solid, if not in all ways spectacular, guitar. Compared are a used Fender Mex 1994/5, Schecter's "California" model, the Vintage Reissued V6, and the G&L Legacy Tribute. All excellent value for the money, but with different tones to be sure. Listen and let's hear what you think in the comments.

Recorded through a Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue, Shure Sm7b into Pro Tools. A bit of slap echo was added to the bridge and neck pickup examples (the travis picking stuff), some mild peak limiting and compression was sused overall to get the level up for YouTube, but this does affect all guitars equally, so the comparison is not skewed.
