Bill Maher confronted former Tonight Show host Jay Leno about a "conspiracy theory" that his recent accidents were due to gambling debts. Leno, who has a net worth of around $450 million, laughed off the idea and joked that the mob would drive to Greenberg, Pennsylvania, to throw him down a hill. Leno has suffered multiple injuries related to maintaining his classic car collection, including one where he set his face on fire and another resulting in multiple broken bones. Maher explained that no one thinks the mob threw Leno down a hill, but rather he is coming up with elaborate "cover stories" for his bad luck. Leno also mentioned that his Tonight Show predecessor Johnny Carson ran afoul of organized crime after being caught "hitting on" mob girlfriends.
