How to Save a Dead Maidenhair Fern

Maidenhair ferns are verrrry sensitive. I've managed to kill mine 3 times so far and each time it's managed to come back to life so don't worry if yours is looking totally done for. It takes a bit of time and patience but if you're lucky, you'll end up with a lovely little maidenhair fern in a month or two.

Luckily mine decided to pop its clogs at the start of spring so it had great conditions to start over in and plenty of time left in the growing season to get back to a decent size before autumn kicks in.

If yours is playing dead then let us know in the comments how long it took before it started showing its first curly little leaf. After a couple of weeks it feels a bit like you're just pointlessly watering a pot of dirt.
