Chip Foose's FIRST personal build! Reed's 1969 Pontiac Firebird, Christine gets the story!!!

Stewart Reed brought his Firebird to Benedict Castle Concours and Car Show, where Christine Reed Nicholson interviews the car's builder, Celebrity Car Guy Chip Foose. Foose rebuilt the car in 1988 for himself, making it his very first personal 'overhaul' which he'd drive to school at Art Center College of Design.

One of Foose's instructors then was Stewart Reed, (whose design leadership is well known today after decades of automotive design leadership at Art Center/ Toyota/ Lockheed/ Chrysler/Cunningham etc.). The two car designers tell Christine more about the Firebird, as Chip explains the subtle details of precisely how he restored the car, recalling the subtle changes made over the years. Chip Foose is owner of Foose Designs and star of Velocity Channel's Overhaulin series.
