Harvesting Sugar Cane On The Homestead

I was given these seeds from a lady from Mexico and she told me it was sugar cane! They grew fine in the Ozarks and were much sweeter than our sorghum canes.

Sorghum or Sugar Cane would be a wonderful addition to any homestead. Not only does it provide a source of natural sugar but it's also fun for young ones to enjoy rather than the processes sugars most kids are eating today.
