How to Dye with Boletopsis Mushrooms ​⁠

Welcome to the incredible, sustainable and stable blue green colours you can only get naturally by ecodyeing with mushrooms. Welcome to the Thelephoroid clade!

I'll cover every step you'll need to unlock the rich colour potential in these amazing fungi. This incredibly diverse group of mushrooms is capable of deep bluey-greens and greys all the way to black. Found throughout North America and Europe, Boleptosis grisea can be found often growing in association with Scots pine.

*Please note it is of conservation concern in some areas of Europe due to deforestation, air pollution and use of fertilizers, so please only harvest where it's more common. And as always, fight against the factors leading to its scarcity!*
