Lecture 54: Groundwater Exploration -16 -Selection of types of wells & Exploration for Art-Rec sites

Recharge methods include spreading water overland and using injection wells for confined aquifers, with the aim of improving groundwater levels and availability. In India, groundwater extraction rates are high, with significant portions of assessment units categorized as over-exploited or critical, highlighting the need for effective artificial recharge strategies.
