SWAPO Party candidate Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has officially been declared the winner of Namibia’s presidential election, according to the country’s Electoral Commission (ECN). Securing 57% of the total vote share, Nandi-Ndaitwah, a former foreign minister and vice president, becomes the first female president to lead the country.
