I swear there is a lot more to see in Salzburg other than lakes, but pure coincidence caused me to visit a lake in Salzburg, which I just needed to capture with the drone. I was very sceptical of photos I saw online which showed this incredible blue water which we typically know from exotic locations, but I saw with my own eyes that the colour is in fact real.


A wonderful lake to capture with the drone and certainly recommended for visits, if you are in the area. Besides obviously swimming in it, you can visit many smaller towns along the lake (prominently Fuschl itself) for various activities.


Unfortunately it was so busy that I could not find alternate locations to fly the drone from and with so many people and boats in the water, I also could not get closer to it which was a real shame. I've made a note to visit such places only during autumn and winter, when there are a lot less people there who I could possibly disturb.
